World-Renowned Digital Dental Specialist

Dr. Alan Jurim focuses his time in private dental practice, his dental lab, and teaching. His office, integratedDENTAL, has been featured as the model for innovative digital treatments by Henry Schein’s Sidekick Magazine. Dr. Alan personally oversees all CAD/CAM production at Jurim Dental Studio, his cutting-edge dental laboratory. His strong clinical, engineering, and laboratory credentials afford him a unique skillset to provide helpful one-on-one counseling for other dentists on how to integrate state-of-the-art CAD/CAM techniques into their practice. Dr. Alan is also highly committed to teaching the practice of digital dentistry to his colleagues. He is the Director of Digital Dentistry at Touro College of Dental Medicine and has founded the CADpro Academy to further this goal. Dr. Alan Jurim received his dual degree in Computer Systems Engineering and Electrical Engineering from the prestigious Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute prior to graduating from New York University’s College of Dentistry and North Shore University Hospital’s general practice residency. Dr. Alan Jurim is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the American Society for Dental Aesthetics. Dr. Alan is a highly sought-out speaker lecturing internationally on digital photography, digital dentistry, CAD/CAM technologies, cosmetic case planning, and complex reconstructive dental treatments. He is a pioneer in digital dentistry, and as such serves as a key opinion leader at Henry Schein and on the global advisory board for 3Shape. At the dental school, Dr. Alan is responsible for new product and systems developments, including launching a new cloud-based electronic health record platform, integrating the latest digital dentistry technology, and leading an overhaul of the dental curriculum.


Specialized in Prosthodontics

Dr. Barbara Jurim focuses her time on her private prosthodontic practice, dental laboratory, and teaching. In addition to seeing patients in her digitally-focused private practice, integratedDENTAL, Dr. Barbara also teaches digital treatment protocols as the Assistant Director of Digital Dentistry at Touro College of Dental Medicine. She is a founding member of the CADpro Academy to provide her dental colleagues with advanced insight on CAD/CAM dentistry. Dr. Barbara Jurim graduated from Wellesley College Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Biochemistry. She attended New York University’s College of Dentistry from which she graduated as valedictorian, and then completed her studies graduating from NYUCD’s Postgraduate Prosthodontic Program. Dr. Barbara Jurim is a member of the American College of Prosthodontics, the American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Barbara lectures extensively to her dental peers on the topics of cosmetics, full mouth rehabilitations, and digital dentistry treatments. Dr. Barbara Jurim lives on Long Island with her family. Her interests include the art of cake decorating, making pottery, mastering culinary challenges, and enjoying the local outdoor sites with her family. As an avid technology & computer hobbyist, Dr. Scherer’s involvement in digital implant dentistry has led him to develop and pioneer new approaches with 3D printing, CAD/CAM surgical systems, implement interactive CBCT implant planning, and outside of the box radiographic imaging and digital design concepts.


Expert in Digital Dentistry

Dr. Naren Rajan is a Founding Member of CADpro Academy and brings over 17 years of experience to a full-time general practice in Mendham NJ focused on restorative, implant and esthetic dentistry.  A native of New Jersey, he graduated from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine with honors, followed by a GPR at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Dr. Rajan has been involved with digital techniques in dentistry since 2007 and has experience with several available digital systems and currently utilizes 3Shape technology.   A passionate proponent of adopting technology, his current focus is incorporating digital techniques into all aspects of general practice.  He believes in finding the best combination of traditional techniques and cutting-edge advancements to improve patient outcomes. He has lectured about the topic both nationally and internationally for major dental companies including 3Shape, Straumann, Henry Schein as well as the Seattle Study Club. Dr. Rajan has published articles on digital workflow in Dentistry Today as well as other publications. When not practicing, lecturing or teaching, Dr. Rajan enjoys, cycling and spending time with his wife and 2 boys in NJ. Aspiring to a career in dentistry while attending college at Rutgers University, Dr. Rajan was accepted to the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in Newark, NJ, where he received a degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.), followed by a hospital residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Dr. Rajan graduated with honors and earned membership in the national dental honor society Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU). The honor is achieved by only a select few each year. He is active in multiple continuing education dental study groups and has trained at both the prestigious Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, FL as well as Spear Education in Scottsdale, AZ. In 2017, Dr. Rajan joined only 7% of dentists nationwide to earn his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD). This was the culmination of over 1000 hours of continuing dental education as well as successfully passing a rigorous exam about all aspects of dentistry. In addition to full time practice, Dr. Rajan is an active educator and lectures nationally and internationally to dentists in the field of digital impressions and digital technology in dentistry. He is the Assistant Director of Digital Dentistry at the Touro College for Dental Medicine and serves as a Key Opinion Leader for multiple dental companies including 3Shape, Henry Schein and Straumann. Dr. Rajan maintains membership in several professional organizations including the American Dental Association, Spear Education, and Academy of General Dentistry. A native of New Jersey, Dr. Rajan was raised in Kendall Park where he was active in sports, music, and later volunteered as an emergency medical technician.


CAD/CAM Specialist

Sunil Abraham is highly specialized in the field of CAD/CAM dentistry. He was introduced to the field on dentistry on the laboratory end in 2007 working in Jurim Dental Studio to facilitate adoption of digital manufacturing techniques. He quickly began working clinically with Drs. Jurim and helped with transforming their practice into an entirely digital workspace. With both clinical and laboratory acumen, Mr. Abraham now serves as the Chief Technology Officer and helps to manage the digital systems at integratedDENTAL.


Founder of FMR Dental Prosthetics, Co-Founder of Digital Dental Craftsmen & ChairsideLAB Solutions

As the owner of FMR Prosthetic Center in Staten Island, NY, Sander is a specialist in implants & removable prosthetics as well as planning and development of high-end prostheses. Former faculty member as technician at the full mouth reconstruction program at NYU School of Dentistry and current adjunct professor at CUNY New York City College of Technology at the Restorative Dentistry Department where he teaches complete dentures.

Utilizing some of the most advanced equipment and applying CAD/CAM technology to provide his clients with a full digital workflow, Sander is often the oral architect for fixed treatments and full mouth rehabilitation. He is one of the few technicians fabricating telescopic implant bridges such as the Deutsch Telescopic Bridge Zr.


Founder of Designlab Dental, Co-Founder of Digital Dental Craftsmen & ChairsideLAB Solutions

Jeffry Tobon is the president of Designlab Dental and one of the founders of Digital Dental Craftsmen as well as ChairsideLAB Solutions. He was born in Medellin, Colombia. Ever since he was a child he has been involved in dental technology. His father Fredy Tobon owned and operated a dental laboratory that focused on removable prosthodontics. His family left Colombia in 2001 and came to the United States seeking new opportunities and start a new life. In 2008 he graduated from New York City College of Technology with an AAS Degree in Restorative Dentistry. After graduation, he focused on educating and learning about every aspect of dentistry. He strongly believes in the saying “Knowledge is power”. Mr. Tobon is a Certified Dental Technician in Ceramics and is currently an experienced Digital Dental Technician. After working for many renowned labs in New York, in 2015 Jeffry started his own dental lab and became the Co-founder of DDS Laboratory Corporation. In 2017 he founded Designlab Dental Inc. Which is a dental laboratory mainly focused on digital dentistry. Mr. Tobon is now utilizing some of the most advanced equipment available in the dental field to provide his clients a full digital workflow. At his lab, He provides implant-prosthetic rehabilitations, implant planning services, crown and bridge design services, digital smile design, and much more. In 2018 Mr. Tobon opened a learning center that focused on teaching about CAD design. He offered lectures and courses on 3shape, exocad, blueskybio, meshmixer, and various other top dental software. As the field went more digital he saw the need to bring together a group of some of the top CAD/CAM technicians and dentists around the world to help others transition into digital dentistry. In early 2019 He co-founded Digital Dental Craftsmen, a worldwide dental organization with many industry leaders in digital dentistry. As technology made dentistry easier, He saw growth in in-house laboratories. In mid-2019 He saw the need that some dentists had to understand the process of building their own labs and co-founded ChairsideLAB Solutions which mainly focused on helping the dentist build and operate their own in-house laboratories. He is now focused on helping promote Digital Dentistry from every angle -  education, implementation, and support.

Our training academy’s main lecture hall looks into an advanced surgical suite and is housed under the same roof as a commercial CAD/CAM dental laboratory. This layout is ideal for hosting a wide variety of live-patient educational events and takes our curriculum to the next level by allowing clinicians to see firsthand the transition from analog to digital dentistry using TRIOS scanning coupled with CAD/CAM manufacturing and 3D printing.
